I've always wanted to go to the southern part of the Philippines. I've been to other countries, but never had a chance to roam around my own bayang sinilangan. But on September 16, I finally touched down Cebu!
A lot of our office mates were a bit skeptical about our one-day trip to Cebu. They said we won't have much fun and won't be able to relax - which are the basic reasons why one should get a vacation. But Ivy, Rd, Abby, Kajd, Dinno and I still proceeded and hoped for an adventure packed tour to the Pearl of the South.
[EPIC DEPARTURE]
We were at the airport around 4AM, just about the right time for our 440AM flight. We only have our hand carries so we did not expect problems with our departure. Check-in time took around 15 mins and around 10 minutes at the terminal fee line. So let's say it's already 425AM. At the last check before boarding the plane, the x-ray scanner detected our umbrellas and camera tripod!!! The guards said it could be used for criminal/terrorism acts so it is not allowed as a hand carry. Around 430AM, we decided to just put it in the car instead of leaving them at the airport or paying 500+php to check it in.
Our flight was already blinking with red "FINAL CALL" status in the flight stats board while RD ran like hell to his car to leave our things there. When he got back, imagine a movie scene of a person running frantically just to catch the flight of his girlfriend to tell her please don't leave - but instead of one person, we were six :)) hahahhaa. The flight crew were already waiting for us, and instead of boarding the plane through the ramp, we rode a coaster to take us to the plane, and used the plane stairs itself to board. :))
What a way to start the day.

It's been a while, what have I been up to?

But above all, I've been working my a** off! I even work on weekends. Today is my 16th day without proper sleep, and I think this will be my fate until the 24th. Looking forward to August 25th!!! Can't wait to take my well deserved vacation leave!~oyeah ~oyeah!
By the way, Abby and I won a poker game in Bicol. Last month, I got a free electric fan for buying the fridge, and won a free san miguel super dry beer shirt because they caught me drinking one at Uncle Moe's. Nako, I should have tried to play lotto! Sayang! I could have won!!!

I'm working from home now, at super duper super super SUuuuuper tamad ako kumilos!!!! My internet connection even prevents me from working. Suuuperrr bagaaal Thanks ha PLDT, for providing me such a lousy internet speed.
I just mentioned to my colleague earlier that PLDT stands for PaLagingDisconnectedTsk! Achi and I are now looking at Globe Broadband / Smart Bro to replace it.

lazy again!
I filed for a 3 day vacation leave to chill at home and recuperate from stress and sleepless nights. So far, I watched 4 movies (Sorcerer's Apprentice, The Green Hornet, Harry Potter 5&6) and a 20-episode Korean series (Secret Garden). Then, bonded with Thor and slept for hours. When I got nothing else to do, I roam the web.
Earlier, I went to DLSU's online library catalog to look for our thesis paper. It was finally published after 2 years! But some word in the title got misspelled:
I don't know if I should let them know about this and correct it or not... Oh well, I'm still proud of getting the gold thesis award for it :) I really miss school! It really hits me now - what the adults usually say before... "Pag nagtratrabaho ka na, mas gugustuhin mong mag-aral nalang ulit"
...
Anyway, it's really hot at home,so tomorrow I plan to go around Binondo and maybe buy some stuff at 168 (I was too lazy so I just went grocery shopping@_@). The only thing I'm missing in the office is its air conditioner hehehe:D
2 days down, 1 more to go, plus a bonus 2 days off thanks to the weekend. Monday's gonna be tough, I'll surely miss being a bum.

:: I almost got no more time to draw, read books, watch Korean/Japanese series, watch anime and play guitar.

CD-R king sells a lot of other stuff than CD-Rs. If you have some gadget in your mind, how crazy that is, CD-R king might have it.=p Plus, you can have it in a much cheaper price than other stores. Of course, product life wise, some say that it is not that long, but I bought my USB Bluetooth Dongle from them around 4-5 years ago and it is still working fine (gutay-gutay na nga itsura e). The other day, my sister took me to Robinsons Place Manila to buy a digital camera. (Don't get me wrong, we didn't buy a digicam in CD-R king =p) After that she needed a memory card so we went to, where else, but CD-R king. 8GB memory card would only cost you around 800php. Well, I didn't care about that. The whole time I was there, I was just looking at their products displayed on the walls. Then I found this:
It's a USB Rechargeable Battery. Ano daw??!
You see that green cap? You take that off and you will find a USB Type A connector inside. You can charge that Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) Battery with your laptop's USB slot. How cool is that! And, if you don't have a computer or USB slot to charge it with, you can just put the cap on again, and do it the normal way with your Battery charger. How convenient =) hehehe galing eh natuwa ako! It costs 500php and if you want to buy and test it out, let me know if it really works. Hahaha=p I didn't buy it kasi wa ko pera nun hahaha. Pero super curious ako!
